P.O.S.T Philadelphia Open Studio Tours

"Philadelphia Open Studio Tours™ (POST™) is a grassroots effort to celebrate Philadelphia’s visual artists, to promote Philadelphia's vibrant art community and to connect the general public to the artists. The event allows visitors from the region and beyond to meet visual artists in their workspaces, view and purchase artwork, and introduce children and families to art in a welcoming environment.

During the sixth annual city-wide event, 185 professional visual artists in 20 Philadelphia neighborhoods will open their studios to the public for the display and sale of their artwork. These tours are free and self-guided and will occur on two weekends in October."

ArtQuilts at the Sedgwick Update

NEW DEADLINE

The deadline for submission has been extended to October 10, 2005.

NEW VENUE

The Sedgwick Cultural Center is currently closed for reorganization and renovation but THE SHOW MUST GO ON so AQatS has changed its venue to the Philadelphia Art Alliance, the oldest multidisciplinary arts center in the United States. Located in the beautiful, historic Wetherill mansion on Rittenhouse Square in Center City, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, brings visual, literary and performance arts to the Philadelphia area for all who wish to enjoy innovative creativity at it's best.

We are, of course, excited by the change. We'll have opportunity to introduce Art Quilts to a broader audience and hopefully, develop closer ties to artists and institutions in the area.
